My mother’s siblings were refugees of the Vietnam War in the 1970’s and had made their way to the West. They were placed throughout the United States and Canada. Both my parents were still back in Saigon, Vietnam, with my little sister and I. My uncle was fortunate to call Guelph home and after some years was able to sponsor my family to immigrate here around 1984.
I have called Guelph home for almost four decades now!
With 20 years of that in our beautiful Ward 1.
Guelph is the most welcoming community that anyone could hope for. The many available programs along with the most wonderfully generous people provides opportunities for families to grow and prosper.
Having engaged with many communities throughout Ontario and abroad, it’s evident that nothing compares. I truly love our city, our people, and our local businesses.
